Central Designer: Best Practices for Building Studies
October 28, 2008 1:00pm-4:00pm

As the use of electronic data capture (EDC) for clinical studies continues to increase, life sciences companies are re-examining their design and build processes to maximize operational efficiencies. Transforming a protocol into a completely built EDC study is a critical design and build process, but can be time-consuming.

Since the release of Phase Forward's Central Designer, many companies are looking at how best to adopt this new technology to reduce their study built time. Organizations are seeking implementation strategies that will increase process efficiencies while minimizing costs and disruptions. In this workshop, Phase Forward services representatives will use product demos supplemented with PowerPoint presentations to walk through the best practices being used by designers and developers involved in Phase Forward’s ASP engagements, and discuss possible best practices for other organizations. Topics to be covered include:

  • Methodologies for building and using libraries
  • Collaboration approaches
  • Utilizing study templates
  • Efficient form design and rule development
  • Generating trial data extracts
  • How to gain process efficiencies by using the features and functions in Central Designer
